If you are a high-achieving and motivated student, the International Studies (Dean's Scholar) program will give you an enriched educational experience and empower you to analyse and appreciate the diversity of the global community. The Bachelor of International Studies (Dean's Scholar) will teach you a diverse skill set to facilitate analysis of national and global issues, focusing on the global forces and interactions that increasingly influence domestic politics. This degree will equip you with a theoretical background to understand the international political and social world, proficiency in a language and the ability to analyse real case studies.The Dean’s Scholar program includes a member of academic staff to advise you on matters concerned with your degree, as well as an annual textbook/resource allowance, and designated study space. What you will study

You will examine the relationships between politics, society, culture, language, and history on a global scale. Core subjects include Introduction to International Studies, Methods in International Studies and Politics, and Senior Seminar in International Studies. In second year, you will choose between one of two majors: International Relations and Global Sustainable Development
As part of the degree, you will also study a language minor, and you can choose from Mandarin, French, Italian, Japanese or Spanish. You will also be encouraged to study abroad or undertake a study tour.
